After many years of coaching and teaching ice hockey, in 2018 Kay Cowperthwait created Dynamic Women’s Hockey with a mission to get quality, fun, and friendly instruction to women and girls in the sport. I was invited to work with Kay to develop the visual identity as she was still finalizing her vision for the company and we ended up with a bold but approachable style. Initial deliverables included the logo and style guide, along with a basic Squarespace commerce site that the client could manage. After the company launch, I created all the marketing and event-related social media content for the first 12 months, and continue to create content as needed, including taking photographs and video at events. Luckily, due to the fun nature of the business, I have frequently been given free reign to add some silliness into the social content.
